We produce this powerful, yet easily portable electric pea sheller that is sure to save you a lot of time and effort in the task of shelling peas (specifically cowpeas).
First created by Lee Manufacturing Company in 1976, many thousands were made with plywood. Now our Electric Pea Sheller, Sr. (also branded as the Electric Wizard Bean & Pea Sheller or formerly the Electric Mr. Pea Sheller) is constructed of great looking and durable aluminum which makes it much easier to clean after shelling a bushel basket of beans. Measuring approximately 16" in length and 9" tall (weighs under 20 lbs), this pea sheller is small enough to store easily and move from kitchen counter, to dining room table to patio without much effort. Yet its powerful 1/15 horsepower motor will make quick work of pea shelling. Plug into any outlet and you are ready to get to work.
Our shelling rollers have "teeth" or splines. They grip the bean pods and pull them through. Little or no slipping. Note: The roller spacing is NOT adjustable. If you feel that roller adjustment is critical for your satisfaction, please shop for a more expensive sheller that offers that feature.
The drive belt is totally enclosed for safe operation and a cooling fan helps to prevent overheating of the motor.
The Electric Pea Sheller, Sr. arrives at your door fully assembled and ready to run right out of the box! Plug it in, turn on the switch and you are shelling peas faster than you ever could by hand!
It will shell many types of beans including black-eyed peas, purple hulled peas, English peas, and small Crowder peas. Any type of "cowpea" should work well with this unit.
Remember, this is a powered device with fast moving rollers. Take care to keep hands, including knuckles and fingers clear of the rollers. Be safe and have fun with this great time-saving invention!
Guaranteed for 1 year provided it is used properly and in a non-commercial setting.

ALWAYS start by washing the produce first! Peas or beans MUST be ripe and easily shelled by hand. If they are not ripe or overly dry you will have some difficulty with the operation and performance of this pea sheller.
